
Gary Gerlach Plant Information Center
Gardeners are committed to sharing their expertise and improving their communities through gardening activities. Master Gardening strengthens neighborhood bonds while beautifying the environment and fostering pride in the community.
One of our major projects is staffing the Gary Gerlach Plant Information Center (GPIC). Housed at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens, GPIC is a horticultural information center for visitors at all levels of gardening knowledge. In 2008 Jefferson County Master Gardeners handled about 2000 calls. You can reach the GPIC phones at 205-879-6964 ext. 21 or 22.
