Our February meetng is our opportunity to celebrate the accomplishments from the past year by honoring those members who have reached another milestone in their volunteer hours. Not only did our members volunteer, they reported their hours.

Take a quick look at the 2011 statistics for Alabama Master Gardeners. JCMG ranked:

• Third in number of Master Gardeners reporting hours
• Fourth in the total number of hours reported
• Fourth in the number of hours per volunteer
• Third in number of CEUs per volunteer

I'm sure with the State Conference in March, we will have many more Stars and Badges awarded next year.

In addition to the Conference, we have numerous opportunities available to serve on JCMGA committees, speaking engagements, school projects, and as docents.
