The Birmimgham Botanical Gardens Wildflower Curator needs some volunteers to help him in the Wildflower Garden. He needs 2-3 people to come in once a week or once every other week for a few hours. Gary Gerlach Plant Information Center (GPIC) needs volunteers.
The Gary Gerlach Plant Information Center is a horticultural information center for visitors at all levels of gardening knowledge. You can reach the GPIC phones at 205-879-6964 ext. 21 or 22.
We need to staff two shifts per day, two people per shift,
Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM - 12:30
PM or 12:30 PM - 4:00 PM.
Saturday it's two shifts, two people per shift 9:00 AM - 12:30 PM or 12:30 PM
- 4:00 PM.
Sunday it's one shift of two people from 1-4 PM. (Phone answering is optional on weekends.)
Master Gardeners, you'll receive a user ID and password to view the calendar details. Find an open time and

Continuing Education Opportunities
Aldridge Gardens: June 13, 2008, there will be a Hydrangea Symposium sponsored by the Alabama Hydrangea Society at Aldridge Gardens. There will be 3 speakers: Sandra Jonas, Jim Scott and Steve Bender. The cost is $60 which includes lunch. Registration is from 8:15 to 8:45 a.m with the first speaker at 9:00 a.m. The second speaker is at 11:00 a.m and the last speaker is at 1:00 p.m. There will be short tours of the gardens during the breaks and plants for sale from Meyer's Nursery.
